• Toddler Block Party

    July 27th & August 24th @ 5:30 pm, and August 8th @ 11:00 am

    Did you know your preschooler "builds" important skills through block play? These vital abilities are ones they will use later in life, such as problem solving, mathematical reasoning, spatial senses, motor skills, and imagination. Come join the fun (and the secret learning) at our Block Party: we have plenty of blocks and fun to go around!

  • Painterly Pottery: Watercolor Basics & Techniques

    July 24, 6:30 pm

    Painterly Pottery returns with a new workshop all about watercolor, with an emphasis on landscapes and natural elements. Adults can learn the basics of watercolor painting with a "Make & Take" project. Registration is required, call 810-724-8043 to reserve your space and free materials. 

  • Build a Better Car with Ming the Magnificent

    June 26, 1:00 pm

    Two great "r"s covered at the same time: race cars and recycling! Ming the Magnificent will teach us what to do, supply us with everything we need, and everyone will leave with their own homemade race car!

  • Family Forts Nite

    June 30, 5:30 pm

    Calling all families for an after hours fort building delight! We'll start the night off with songs, stories, and a snack, then we'll break up to build blanket forts around the library for some quiet reading time with your favorite family members. 
    Bring your own building supplies (pillows, blankets, etc.) and remember that we can't use the books as building materials! 

  • Read 2 a Dog!

    July 5th & 19th and August 2nd & 16th

    Hoping to beef up your reading skills this Summer? Well get ready for a "tail wagging" good time! Megan the Dog and her mom have kindly agreed to return to the library for another summer of Read 2 a Dog. Call (810 724-8043) or stop in to sign up for a 15 minute time slot with Megan today!
